Welcome to the Self Direction Community Project website.

Self Direction is a disability led and run organisation supporting a wide variety of people related issues, providing counselling, advocacy, advice, guidance, and support and training to the community. The Project is also a keen promoter of Agenda 21 principles..

We have recently completed a year long grass-roots research project examining online accessibility with the emphasis on e-learning. This website is part of that research project and has focussed on the provision of an accessible training module entitled "The Medical and Social Model of Disability". We are now able to extend this training module to provide the complete Disability Awareness Training course online in a fully accessible format, together with other courses which will also be fully accessible.

Based on your feedback we are updating this 'living site', in order to make the site as accessible as possible to all people. With your assistance we can continue to create true online accessibility.

Thank you for your support.
